To meet demand for dentistry, SpaDental Glastonbury is "delighted to welcome" dental therapist, Nadia Habib, a dentist who qualified overseas.

Her arrival significantly increases the number of appointments available in the area.

Qualified as a dentist from the University of Peshawar in 2021, Nadia has over 20 years of experience working in hospitals and clinics.

Nadia is currently waiting for an opportunity to take examinations to work as a dentist.

Meanwhile, she is on the General Dental Council register of clinicians as a Dental Therapist.

Dental therapists offer patients a wide range of treatments.

This means more patients can access dental care. If you would like to book a dental appointment, SpaDental encourages you to get in touch.

The practice said an appointment with Nadia is an "excellent way for patients to maintain or work towards their optimum oral health".

"During your first appointment, Nadia will make sure you feel comfortable in the chair, and relaxed," SpaDental explained.

"She makes a thorough examination of your teeth and the soft tissue of your mouth, including screening for mouth cancer symptoms.

"Subsequent patient planning depends on the individual and may include placing fillings, follow-up hygiene appointments, or composite bonding to repair chips and irregularities.

"Moreover, if more complex treatment is required, Nadia works closely with our dentist."

Preventive dental care is central to the dental therapist's role and is the foundation of long-term oral health.

SpaDental also sends team members into local schools to teach the basics of good home brushing routines to children.

A mother herself, Nadia is skilled at making children, as well as adults, feel comfortable.

She encourages parents to make regular appointments for their children
