Police are working with the fire service after two incidents in which caravans were destroyed by fire in Glastonbury.

The first was just before 5.15pm on Tuesday November 5 in Kennard Moor Drove.

A caravan was destroyed by fire while the occupant was out. No one was injured.

In the second incident two unoccupied caravans in Roman Way were burnt out in the early hours of this morning (November 7). Again, no one was injured.

The fire and rescue service put out the fires on each occasion, but have been unable to determine a cause.

They are offering home safety advice to the caravan residents, including fitting smoke alarms.

While there's no evidence of offences, police are making enquiries to see if they can establish the cause of the fires.
