The Glastonbury Mural Trail has launched its new website as the latest artistic addition to the route is revealed.

The new website can be found at glastonburymuraltrail.co.uk and the new Adam and Eve mural has been created by Glastonbury artist Frank Harwood.

The Glastonbury Mural Trail was launched in 2019 with 28 murals. Over the past months the number of murals have increased to more than 50 in different locations around the town.

This new website, designed by local web designer Matt Witt using funds from Glastonbury Chamber of Commerce, was created by local artist and founder of the Glastonbury Mural Trail, Kim von Coels.

The Glastonbury Mural Trail is a celebration of the diverse creative talent that Glastonbury has in abundance.

It is a collection of public art that can be viewed completely free of charge, open 24/7 all year round and is fully accessible to everyone.

This project has blossomed through the hard work of volunteers, many talented artists and through the generous support of local Glastonbury businesses and individuals. This Glastonbury Mural Trail has been funded entirely by the Glastonbury community.

Inspired by the original mural trail by Jim and Caroline of the Pilgrim Reception Centre, the trail's current incarnation has been an exercise in collective creativity thanks to artists and sponsors who are passionate about keeping Glastonbury colourful.

The new website tells the story of the trail's inception, the history of the town's murals, sponsors and supporters, a picture gallery, and online shop selling prints of the murals.

There is also information on how to get involved with the mural trail by volunteering or sponsoring some of the artwork or simply by donating to help fund the work that goes on throughout the year.

For those who are unable to visit in person, there is a interactive online map containing 360 degree views of each artwork, kindly created by local videographer Gabriel Avalon.

Alongside of the new website there is a new 2021 Glastonbury Mural Trail leaflet and map. These were designed by local graphic designer Kirsten Rae at the Somerset Design Studio.

These Mural Trail leaflets can be picked up for free from The Glastonbury Information Centre, St Dunstan's House; The Rogues Gallery, 8a High Street; or Heart of The Tribe, 74 High Street.
