Glastonbury Abbey is seeking a Grounds Assistant to support the care, presentation and ongoing maintenance of its historic landscape.
Set within more than 40 acres of parkland and principal garden areas, this role plays an important part in ensuring the abbey grounds remain safe, welcoming and well-maintained for visitors, members, staff and volunteers throughout the year.
Working closely with the Grounds Manager and wider grounds team, the post holder will assist with day-to-day grounds maintenance, seasonal planting, soft and hard landscaping, minor repairs and winter maintenance programmes.
The role also involves working alongside volunteers, following agreed health and safety procedures, and contributing positively to the stewardship of a nationally important scheduled ancient monument.
