Melhuish and Saunders in Glastonbury have had a great start to the new year with two projects won.

Work will commence in February on a new warehouse extension planned for Avalon Plastics, on Glastonbury's Morlands Enterprise Park, in collaboration with local architect Chris Donoghue of Wotton Donoghue Architects, who is based in the neighbouring Red Brick Building.

Also planned to start in February is a new extension and refurbishment to Avonmouth Medical Centre for the Pioneer Medical Group, which will involve local subcontractors and suppliers. Architects are Osmond Tricks based in Bristol.

Managing director of Melhuish and Saunders, Darryl Mitchard, is looking forward to a great year for the company in 2020 and has positive messages for all his hardworking and dedicated staff.

He said: "We will be the greatest building contractor in the South West.

"We will be the envy of all of our competitors and our clients' number one choice contractor."

As a result of new jobs awarded Melhuish and Saunders are recruiting now for site managers, site foreman, multi tradesman and general site operatives, and the company wants to attract enthusiastic, hardworking, dedicated staff who are fully committed team players.
