Children's World will be holding Do Try This At Home sessions during lockdown

The Glastonbury charity Children's World has confirmed that its Do Try This at Home sessions will be unaffected by the new lockdown.

The project is classed as educational and so the team will be able to continue the mixture of learning and fun.

The sessions continue to be Covid compliant - the events are held at the Paddington Farm Trust on the outskirts of Glastonbury, and it is well ventilated.

Only five households will be allowed to attend at a time, hand-sanitiser or hand-washing is required, all high touch areas are sanitised, adults are required to wear masks unless exempt and Children's World complies with track and trace requirements.

There are three sets of sessions left before a break for the winter:

Saturday November 14 - Balloon Science with Balloonatic

Balloonatic's balloon scientist Becky takes balloon modelling to a new level with her engaging and interactive science show.

Learn all about atoms, molecules, friction, thrust, static electricity and more, all through the super-fun world of balloons. The best bit is you'll get to try all the experiments yourself.

Thursday November 19 - Magic with OzMoses

Friday November 27 - Be An Art Spy with Brave Bold Drama

A rare chance to work with the Company of International Artists (CIA), a highly secretive organisation of agents all over the globe, finding hidden messages in art.

Transmit the messages in encrypted forms to other agents around the world, and make more hidden message art. A fine blend of art history, geography and hands-on creativity.
