Domestic Property Fire at Badgers Green Road, Walton, Street

Date: 09.10.2019Time: 14:12Location: Badgers Green Road, Walton, StreetSeveral calls were received at fire control reporting a fire within a domestic property. Control immediately sent three fire engines from Street, Glastonbury and Somerton to the address.On arrival of the fire engines they were able to confirm that there was a fire involving a tumble dryer within a garage that was attached to a domestic property. They began to set to work using breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet and a safety jet. The tumble dryer was removed from the property and utilities to the house were isolated. A carbon dioxide extinguisher and small tools were also used to extinguish the fire and make the scene safe. The tumble dryer was 100% damaged by the fire and there was 30% damage to the internal fixtures of the garage.
